Home Alone and In Pain

Tabitha and Kristopher left around 10:00 last night to meet up with her mother and two sisters in Marion, Illinois so that they could all drive to St. Louis and catch a 8:00 am flight to Cleveland to attend Tabitha’s grandmother’s 50th wedding anniversary celebration in Pennsylvania. They called at 1:00 this afternoon to let me know they had just landed safely in Cleveland. I find it quite sad that Kristopher got to take his first plane trip before his father… :(

Anyway, I’m here home alone now with only the company of Tabitha’s cat, Jesse, and my turtle, Grubber, and some fish. Worry not, though, for I have plenty of work to keep me busy (That’s the primary reason I didn’t go to Pennsylvania in the first place). I’ll probably get some more work done on the website and tend to some projects that I have been procrastinating far too long.

Now the really bad part:

As many times as I’ve went up and down the stairs in front of our duplex, I fell down them last night while holding Kristopher. Fear not, he wasn’t hurt — he didn’t even cry. However both my knees and my left elbow took quite a thrashing. No one had to go to the emergency room, but my knees are very sore right now, so next time you see me, feel free to point and laugh.
